I felt a bit nervous going to someone?s house but Lynn was really welcoming I learned a new skill and would like it even better if I were outside as planned. Would consider doing it again

My 2nd class, it was good but we went a little fast for me and as a beginner I was getting a little lost. I think I need to go to a class with more step by step instructions. Lynne is very friendly and approachable. The 2hrs sure go fast.

Absolutely brilliant session set amongst the beauty of Roundhay Park and under a blue sky! Lynn was a most informative tutor and relaxed communicator. She came equipped with everything we could have needed - plus a flask of welcomed coffee! After we'd finished - I felt as if I'd been away for a fortnight! Time had been transformed and lengthened effortlessly by our concentration and absorption. Thank you so much for a wonderful session!

I registered for Nature's Brushstrokes: En Plein Air Watercolour Meetup last Saturday at Kirkstall Abbey - what a beautiful place to be at! The painting session was very warm, welcoming and informative. It was a chilly morning, but we made the most out of it! We got beautiful pieces of painting at the end of the session. All materials required were kindly provided by the instructor (Lynn Armstrong), i.e. , watercolours, watercolours brushes, sketching pens; Lynn also prepared the paper sticked on cardboard beforehand so they're ready for us to use, and she even brought some warm coffee! Thanks to Lynn's instruction with water techniques and colour theories related to this specific lesson, I get better understanding on such topic. Although we were a bit rushing at the end due to the limited time allowance, we all completed and had our own piece of art, that are all brilliantly colourful with watercolour and sketching pens, to bring home afterwards! People walking pass were also interested! I am happy that it is my absolute first time of doing group painting session, painting outdoor, or even seeing in Kirkstall Abbey, it turned out to be wonderful and I love how supportive everyone is that makes me feel more confident of my result and to keep going with this interest/hobby of mine! All in all, it was such a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning! A wholesome meet up with informative instruction and wonderful scenery! Sending my warm gratitude to the team who made this happen, and my special thank to Lynn for her kindness and guidance!

We had a great time, we very much enjoyed our session with Lynn. She was friendly and approachable, with lots of tips and hints we found useful. My score of 4 is only because the time flew by and we would have liked longer!

I painted this to commemorate an amazing mentor. - my college philosophy professor. This is actually Nietzsche, someone he deeply admired. Since I admired my professor, it seemed fitting to paint this in his memory. He passed away after I graduated, but his impact on my college education stayed with me forever.

I visited Jurien Bay last year in spring.Almost 50 km South east of the bay is the Badgingarra National Park where there were beautiful wild pink Everlasting flowers but it was this the tree that caught my eye. It looked so majestic amongst them.

Title or Location: I did not take the photo. I believe it is a stock photo. I painted this painting as a study painting hair/fur and grass/sky.
I am meeting with a group of artists using watercolor over zoom. They are mostly in VA, but the leader/teacher is in Midland now. We are taking on a project to paint an EPIC painting larger than we are accustomed to in order to stretch ourselves. We decided on the animal/ outdoor ranch/farm theme. I am very new to watercolor so I welcomed the challenge. Since then I had the nerve to paint my cat and dog. It is an enjoyable experience. I'm on to painting a horse now.
